DANCE DAY MESSAGE (29 APRIL 09)

The future of dance lies in the people who do not dance.
They fall into two categories: those who simply did not learn to dance, and those who think they can not dance. These two types of people represent the biggest challenge for the profession of dance teacher. In line with UNESCO's fight against prejudice and discrimination, we are trying to expand the boundaries of dance to change the current perception of what a dancer. The art of dance is not necessarily a statement of the extremely physical, the accurate, or the overwhelming emotion. Can be a celebration of interaction between performers. We can enrich the dance recitals with singers, actors, storytellers, mimes, acrobats, etc of all ages and all degrees of disability. ! The integration through the dance of the hitherto excluded, not only a moral duty, but also opens a wide gate in times of economic crisis and unemployment. In every country there are millions of people with physical or mental disability. We think they're ready to bailar.Ayudarlos create new jobs for thousands of dance teachers. The disabled are assisted by the Ministry of Health, whose budget is many times greater than that of the Ministry of Culture. The integration of marginalized persons in the practice of dance is as important as their integration into the labor market. CID adheres to the principle that everyone can dance. Dance Day 2009 is dedicated to integrating dance. Include all members of society in our courses and our stage performances. Prof. Alkis
