E-Tron Audi Concept, an electric motor at each wheel
The luxury subsidiary Volkswagen Group, Audi , besides presenting the R8 in convertible version or the new A5 Sportback, delighting the audience of Frankfurt Motor Show in its 2009 edition, with a super-electric sports car.
The E-Tron, which at first glance it shows a conceptual model based on the R8, uses 4 motors, one at each wheel to deliver a total amount of 310hp and a whopping 3.319 lbs torque, taking power from a battery pack of lithium-ion liquid cooled alone accounts for one third the weight of the car (470kg) and has a capacity of 53 kWh, although only 42.4 kWh are used.
